| The tExtractor is a
Maya plug-in that allows one to unwrap the UV coordinates of selected polygons and output
the results as an image file. This image can then be applied to those faces as a perfectly
aligning texture map. |

On a
polygonal object, select one or more faces that have UV coordinates applied. |
|
|
| Type
"tExtractor" on the command line and press Enter.
Specify the size of your output image and a
file location.
After setting these parameters to your liking, select save.
You will now have a 2D image ready to paint in your favorite 2D package.
